Hummer H4 concept heading to Detroit show
Rumored to be about the size of a Wrangler, the H4 could enter production by the 2010 model year. Although it is unclear what platform H4 will be based on, the report ruled out the possibility of a front-wheel drive version. A shortened version of the Colorado platform that also underpins the H3 would be one possibility.
In addition, more information has surfaced about the Hummer truck we reported on two weeks ago. According to Automotive News' sources inside GM, the vehicle will be a truck version of the H3, making a version of the H3T concept (pictured above) seen in 2003 at the Los Angeles auto show a reality. The H3 truck would build on the success of the H3, which has been selling briskly despite a market that has recently shifted towards more fuel-efficient vehicles.
The H4 and H3 truck would give the brand the two additional models that Bob Lutz called for earlier in the year.
