Canada HOT HOT HOT ? overheating

Hi to all I have this wired thing going on With overheating. On my last 2 outings iv had the heating needle gow all the way to the end of the read portion of the overheat gage. So I swapped the radiator since it was pretty beaten up. But didn’t help much, I noticed that the fan gard that’s made out of plastic was kinda cut by the priveus owner. I was thinking of installing a electric fan infront of the rad and just let it run permanently. But its never done this before.

So what are your subjections..

You've tried a new thermostat? Water pump is ok?

Do a rad/ engine flush, if the pump is starting to fail it will usually start dripping anti freeze. Are you losing any by the way?
What size motor do you have in your Jeep, that will help a bit with a more accurate diagnosis.

So I did flush the fluids about a weak ago, the engine is an 4.0L high output and its not leaking.

Ok. Well not sure what you have exactly. Does your Jeep have a fan clutch? If so, is it cutting in?

Also, is it possible you got a bad t'stat? Not likely, as if you did, it would either always be cold(stuck open), or always boiling over(stuck closed).

Did this heating problem start all of the sudden, or was it a gradual thing over time?

As I heard from the horses mouth direct he changed the rad and still has the problem, but like others here have said it still cud be a faulty thermostat or the fan isn't coming on. I wud also suggest u contact Martin and give him some details on ur problem he just might be the one to solve it for you.
