First time Jeep buyer. Need help.

First time Jeep buyer. Need help.
So I've finally made the decision to buy myself a REAL Jeep, because I've always wanted one, and up until this point my situation hasn't allowed me the opportunity to drive a Jeep as my primary everyday driver. Anyways, I'm new to this and have just started looking for a used Jeep for myself. My $ point at this time is looking like something around $10,000 - $14,000. I am reaching out to the members of this site for some help and advice, because I figured this is where I'll find the real experts on what to look for and what not to look for in the Jeep I want with my specific situation.
So here's the deal....I will be need to use this as an everyday commuter vehicle as well as my playtime wheels. I'll be dropping a lot of HWY KMS on this Jeep (which is just unavoidable unfortunately) and don't have a ton of knowledge with regards to reliability issues for Jeeps being loaded up with KMS. Are there certain years/models/engine types I should avoid at all during my search? (as I realize every line of vehicles have their good and bad years of production). Also, I am not mechanically inclined, meaning I'm not someone who will be able to deal with consistent maintenance issues on my own, which is why I would like to hopefully find the most reliable model around. I've narrowed down my model search to either a Wrangler YJ or a Rubicon edition Jeep. Anyone have any advice for me in my search??
Thanks,
A.
I just want to find a balance between

Re: First time Jeep buyer. Need help.
I'd buy something around 4-5 grand keep the rest of the cash for Mod's and parts that are need. Could spend 10 grand still run into problems. I personly like the 4.0L inline 6 (fuel injected) which are bullet prof! I like buying cheap & making it the way I want. But I am mechanical inclined & have lots of tools.
