Pictures after the test drive. Some pre-excitement

Thought I would post up a reply. So far, loving the new Jeep. Picked her up with 120 km on it and am now at 190 km, look out warranty !!!

lol

It does have 7 year 115,000 coverage on it. I dont drive alot so time is what i needed.
Picked her up at Fairview

Here are some photos of it from my phone. My buddy believes you need to be an engineer to install the softop, it was a bit of a workout today to get it done, i am burnt.

Owned her all of 1 hour. Targa topping it for lunch

Friend came over and we decided lets get the soft top on... It was a workout regardless.

Wow, 1.5 years Jeepless is a long time....however the saying that good things come to those who post is true...that is one fine looking JK, and the 70 aniversery to boot! Wicked! Nope, no engineering degree needed for the softtop...like riding a bike one you learn.
BTW Fairview Chrysler Service dept are a great bunch to deal with.
ENJOY

It wasnt too bad being Jeepless, just missed the ragtop and parking..... I was driving an Excursion for sometime. I had scored such a great deal on one it was hard to say no and since I dont drive alot, fuel didnt matter.

But, here we are. This caught my eye and so it became an easy decision. Ill have to post some pictures of the interior.

Yea, its pretty decent. I mean the storage is still limited to some degree since its a jeep. My son in a baby seat in the rear results in the passenger seat usually being slid to the front rendering it kinda useless. If i need to carry a person i roll it back but it just means my son kicks the back of the seat and mucks it up.

The hardtop as you know is bulky and gets in the way and same with the freedom panels. Obviously you want a safe spot for them which isnt easy for everyone to find where they live. I made the $55 hard top storage. Check it out. LOL

Didn't take long. Someone hit the Jeep while it was parked at Walmart. Wife took it out today to pick up some goodies for the weekend, came out and the front bumper had been smacked. The Plastic piece on the bumper is dented pretty good. The person took off.

Less than 6k on it and already hit. I swear I sometimes just want to move to the country away from this hole.

Yea, she says she parked it a fair distance away and backed in to a spot. It sucks. Looks like a hitch ball did the dent. I swear, people have no respect for other peoples stuff let alone their own. Looks like I will deal with it in the summer.

I keep the srt8 parked in the garage . There was one instance of vandalism here as well. People are crazy.

That really sucks man. Been there a couple times. People today respect nothing... but then most have no respect for themselves. I couldn't count haw many times I've parked at the back of a parking lot, all by my lonesome. Come out and there is a car or two parked beside me. And half the parking lot still empty.
I don't have that problem with the XJ. People see it's old, lifted, scratched and dented, and stay as far away as they can. LOL
