Question Rough ride

Now upon buying a jeep I knew I wasn't looking for a soft ride but this is unbarable. Every bump is followed by a loud bang. The suspension doesnt even feel like it moves. It's an 05 rocky mountain edition on 33's, and some sort of lift. Now I know I should have asked him what lift he put on it but he knew NOTHING about the jeep. I know it's a fabtech and it has a 3" body lift, being downgraded to a 1" as soon as I can. What could be causing such a rough ride? Shock absorbers? The BL? Or the coils themselves?

Try the shocks, I did a 4" lift a few year back and b/4 the lift it was like sitting in a caddy so smooth a ride, did the lift and it rides like a f...truck on leaf springs. Look into adjustable shocks, ones you can make for hwy running soft and for offroading hard with just a little valve on the shock. A friend bot 4 I will ask him what kind he got next time i see him.The bang could be the shocks are finished. Try pushing the bumper down and let it go if it comes springing right back up then you have shocks if not then I'd look there.
