The model is irrelevent, as is the manual for that model, since he stated he
has a sDynatrac Dana 60 and NVG4500 tranny, neither of which were ever
available from factory in a Jeep. More than likely he has a Dana 30 front and
Dynatrac 60 rear...if he had an AMC20 rear it's highly unlikely he would put a
stronger axle in front. But not impossible.

But they didn't source their axles from Dynatrac, since ABS wasn't around in
'72 except possibly in jet planes, (wink) and the front axle would probably
have been a 44 at least.

Your Chilton guide is just plain wrong Joshua.
The T-case and tranny do not share anything, let alone fluids.
I have an 86 and my tranny and t-case need different fluids.
They have an air gap in-between them and each has their own seal.
They also only put a high water vent on the t-case. There is no high
water vent on the tranny so you can fill the tranny full of water and
only have to change it's fluids, the t-case will still be fine.
