Why we get harsh with Bill
He says the same load of nonsense over and over.
He hates Diesel, because of the truckers. Now I could give a ----
about truckers. Owner operator truckers are what killed the railroads,
which are how freight should go, the fuel per ton mile is about a
tenth. I have known a lot of truckers many of which are just dumb,
loutish hick ********. Some are very decent people but a lot of them
are just dumbass hick screwballs. But the truckers aren't the problem,
building the interstate highway system under Eisenhower and letting
truckers run on it for less than the cost of the pavement wear alone
(if they had to pay that a Class 8 truck would pay _another_ $45,000 in
road tax every year over what they do now) was the problem.
Then he hates propane because his buddy gets killed.......with no
propane anywhere in sight. No, it was nitrous oxide. I mean it's a sad
thing, even though he was drag racing on public roads which makes him a
Grade A PUNK, of course, still we all make mistakes. But because
nitrous oxide and propane are both a gas, they are both no good.
A real thinker, Bill is.
Have a happy Fourth of July anyway, Bill. But leave lighting the
fireworks to the younger people. With your luck something bad could
happen.

Actually Bret, he doesn't hate diesel because of he trucking industry, he
was an owner/operater himself for a time. He hates diesels in anything but
medium and heavy trucks. Anything less than a GCWR of sixteen tons is a
poser in his book. Because, of course, when Mercedes started putting diesels
in passenger cars, that caused the price of diesel fuel to skyrocket. Now,
you can by any 3/4 ton pickup with a diesel, so that makes it worse of
course, even though the vast majority of road diesel used in the US is used
by the ever-expanding trucking industry.

I thought the price of diesel skyrocketed due to people using oil to heat
their homes ? You don't have that many diesels in the US ?
