Now that scary!
Even so the brakes should have been able to manage the speed down to a
safe level and then if still going too fast, drop the clutch and stop.
They try again.
I would be having a real close look at those brakes! If the rears are
grabbing, the fronts can be asked to do to much work and you can have
brakes that won't stop the engine maybe...
I have used the e-brake to keep the speed down and retain steering
control on a couple real hairy ones.
