Wow, what a day, 25C and sunny here in Ontario Canada.
Took the top and doors off and went bush running with a couple guys from
a local club today out where we usually have our RAMJ+W runs. Had a
nice day!
Man is it 'ever' dry out there! One mud hole that usually has water
that can come over my hood is down to 6" with a solid bottom....
We played around in the ravines and on the sand pit walls and once again
the leaf springs rule on dirt climbs! The poor TJ's start hopping and
they are then done.
I was impressed with one automatic though. He kept at it and at it and
managed to work his way up around the top corner of one wicked one.
This is the same one that I exploded a hub on last time in there.... He
worked it and worked it and man I sure was expecting to see smoke coming
out of the torque converter, but it seemed to hold. It would stall the
TC though. Like having the clutch spin under extreme load. Full
throttle and no go up or tire spin.

A whole mess more of the area has been posted no trespassing, bummer!
I am going to see if the locals are interested in another clean up of
the area so we as a rec.autos.makers.jeep+****** group can help out and
maybe still have access. We put in a great showing on the last clean up
of the area with some good news coverage and the 'adopt a trail' idea
was tossed around. I got the local Land Rover groups involved too and
we got a good write up in the Land Rover Magazine.

| I was impressed with one automatic though. He kept at it
and

of
| one wicked one. This is the same one that I exploded a hub
on

I
| sure was expecting to see smoke coming out of the torque

Full

| A whole mess more of the area has been posted no
trespassing,

|
| I am going to see if the locals are interested in another
| clean up of the area so we as a
rec.autos.makers.jeep+******
| group can help out and maybe still have access. We put in
a
| great showing on the last clean up of the area with some
good
| news coverage and the 'adopt a trail' idea was tossed
around.
| I got the local Land Rover groups involved too and we got
a
| good write up in the Land Rover Magazine.
