Tires, wheels and backspacing
I know this has been asked multiple times and I've searched through
this NG to try to find an answer. Unfortunately I found multiple
answers and I'm not sure which ones are most accurate.
I have an '01 TJ and am planning to install a 2" RE Budget Boost along
with a 1" body lift. Once I get that in place, I'll be getting new
wheels and tires. I'm looking at getting 32" MTs (haven't decided on
specific brand yet) on 15" AR757s or the US Wheel equivalent. I'm
trying to determine how much backspacing I need on my new wheels.
I've seen responses saying that it should work with stock backspacing
(seem to recall that this is 5") and others that say you need 4" or
so. I really don't want the wheels sticking out further than
necessary.
Any help would be appreciated.
