Source for original-style hardtop hold-down nuts
Does anyone know of a source for the rectangular 'nuts' used to hold a
CJ-7 hardtop on the body?
I don't think they'd be hard to make for a metal shop--basically a
~3/4 x 1-1/4" piece of 1/4" steel with a threaded hole in the
middle--but I was hoping someone had already gone to the trouble...
Thanks,
Heath

I have asked a dealer about these, and was told they're no longer
available (for the CJ), but I haven't seen a TJ up close and it didn't
occur to me that they might be compatible.
Thanks,
Heath

I would try www.jeepsareus.com. I've bought several stock replacement
items from them. Good quick service and easy payment through paypal.
