Some advice on buying a Grand Cherokee
We have an old cherokee that is nearing the end of it's life. We liked it so
much we want another but haven't got much to spend about $5000 so I was
wondering what is the best year(s) to look out for and any problems I should
be aware of? Thanks in advance

For that money look for a '96-'98 Grand Cherokee. Check for rust under the
front doors. And make sure the transmission doesn't go CLUNK going into
Reverse. Many people don't check Reverse when test driving a vehicle.
If you are towing look for the V8. If you are not towing the I6 will be fine,
just not as quick as your current Cherokee.
