Smittybilt Tube Fenders
I'm thinking on buying some...but I would love to see them on a TJ...I've
searched and searched the net for pics with no success...Smittybilt has one
pic of 'em on a YJ
they bolt on with an inner fender...that's convienient!
my buddy and I where gonna attempt to make some but with the price if steel,
the fact that I still have to chop up my original fenders and one is still
in great shape I thought this may be the way to go....they come ready to
paint and jus bolt 'em on...I can get them for around $800. Canadian

Re: Smittybilt Tube Fenders
I've got a Smittybuilt front double-tube bumper (polished black) on the
front of my CJ. Looks awesome and bolted to the stock holes. Also has
mounting spots for foglights ...altho not the greatest spot to avoid damage
(put on cheapies) ...but convenient nonetheless. Very satisfied with it and
it's pretty damn tough and hard to bend.

I saw a few sets on TJs when I was at Moab last week. The only knock I've
heard on them is fairly thin tubing compared to Poison Spider. You might
look at Rev1, too. They have a new fender that also incudes the inner skin.
I installed Poison Spider units on my YJ last fall. Cutting the fender is
really pretty easy, just requiers a bit of measuring & marking to make sure
you get the cuts right. Clifton designed them that way beacuse thre's so
much stuff hung on TJ inner fenders it's hard to relocate everything. Also
lets someone chuck the whole stock fender and go with just the tube unit.
