Rubie Locker pumps!!!!
Finally crawled under my new 05Rubi recently
and found that they put the locker pumps on
the skidplate in front of the drain plug for
the xfer case.... WTF..... Do I have to remove
them to change the fluid? What if I wanted to engage
the lockers in water? wouldn't the pumps suck water,
if they happen to be in water? What were the Engs' thinking
when placing the pumps there? Can I move them easily
without voiding the warranty?
holy jeepers
Any thoughts?

Re: Rubie Locker pumps!!!!
They also 'forgot' to put a high water vent on the Jeep transmissions,
so if you are in that deep, you are in big do do already....
I wonder if you could add a vent for the pumps? I pulled the stoopid
button vent out of my tranny and added a steel nipple for a line I ran
up by the battery to keep the water out when I take my CJ7 swimming.

Re: Rubie Locker pumps!!!!
They don't vent any of the transmissions. That is, they don't use the hoses
like on the diffs and the tcase.

Re: Rubie Locker pumps!!!!
Is it a one way valve or something like that?
