Rear Bumper/Tire Carrier Combo
Hi all. I've been researching tire carrier/bumper combos for a while
and I think I've settled on the one made by Rubicon Express. Has anyone
purchased one and do they like it or not?? Any other ones I should
check-out before I buy??
TIA,
Jay

Haven't seen one, but I believe they source it from overseas. Best, highest
quality I've seen are Durango 4x4.com, Bulletproof, Wilderness and
Jeeperman. Currie made one of the original triangulated bumper and tire
carriers and they are still very good, just don;t have the range of
accessory attachments. Warn makes a look-alike that's ok, but kind of
thin-walled from what I've seen.
FWIW, I have older Durango front & rear units and have been extremely
pleased with them. Their newer units are a bit easier to install in the rear
(do not have the upper pivot that mounts to the tub), but the latching &
hinging are more complex.
Last thought, for God's sake, stay away from any of the cheap "Rock Krusher"
crap that's advertised by 4 Wheel Parts in the 4x4 mags, it's offshore junk,
complete trash.
