Unbelievably, I have to agree. I bought the same darned $9 wrench and it's
dead on with my neighbors $229 Snap-on.

Huh, cool, and I was thinking I would have to spend at least $50... you guys
are a god send... and a 20 minute response too!!!

What about other Pittsburgh/Harbor Freight Tools, are they decent enough to
use as a do-it-yourselfer?

There is a Harbor Freight store about 20 minutes from me... so will run up
and pick it up :)

as i said, i use my tools in commercial duty and for the most part, anything
i buy anymore is from harbor freight. i still buy craftsman wrenches but
only because im prone to busting them. ive returned wrenches at sears that
still had pieces of pipe welded to them and they never give me any crap,
they just exchange them with a smile.

lol....only take as much $ as you need to get what you want. dont take any
extra $ with you or youll find a way to spend it. :-) my local harbor
freight is less than 3 miles from me and i cant seem to walk out of there
without spending $200.

RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO BUY YOUR HILIFT JACK THERE.

I bought my hilift from them for something close to $30. The Real McCoy cost
about $60, but is way more than twice as good. Think about it, if you are
stuck, do you want to be using El Cheapo equipment in a situation that can
kill you if it fails? Actually, killing you might be better than the serious
injury ... An even worse thing would be to let your friend use it, and it
killed him.

 

Turns out I 'pawned' and OLD High Lift off my dad... Brand is Han?????
something... sticker is beat up... but at least it says Made in the USA on
it :)
