Those spyders look really good. I got to look at an unpainted set a few weeks ago,
my buddy had just got them ups - all they did was slap a shipping label on the metal
and send them out. they looked nice, beefy too.

I've been trying to get some, but none of their suppliers, nor they, will
ship anything other than UPS and Fedex and I'm not paying 300 bucks for
postage. Carriers like BAX Global charge just over 1/3rd of UPS.

Thank for the kudos on the site.

No prejudice to the CJ5s here... my first Jeep was (still is) a 79 CJ5. As
a matter of fact the project on my website started as a frame up of that
very CJ5. Well, as well all know how Jeep stuff goes... it's now a CJ7. I
did manage to use the motor and rims from the CJ5.

If you want the Rockers for a CJ5.. I can work that for you too. Let me
know.

BTW... how's my old AMC 20 diff cover doing?... treating her right?

Your diff cover is happy and doing well. I bought a diff guard from the 4X
Doctor, so the pesky edge on the bottom is sandwiched between some pretty
healthy chunks of steel.

That whole prejudice thing was tongue-in-cheek, don't worry. Isn't your CJ7
really a CYJ? Didn't I read that you used a YJ tub?

I think I am going to use my brother's chop saw with a metal blade, and take
a crack at making some rocker guards with metal from the local steel yard. I
think the material will run me about 20 or 30 bucks, and the saw blade will
be another 30 or so. My brother plans on buying a welder, so I'll use it to
learn how to weld. I'm thinking I will have some dandy rocker guards for
less than 100 bucks, and a new tool in my locker when I am done.
