question re: Gas Mileage,4th and 5th gear
If I'm driving my 99TJ ,(straight 6 cyl), on level interstate and my
4th gear RPM's are exactly 2000 rpms at 69-70mph and my 5th gear RPM's
are exactly 2500 rpm's at 69-70 mph, which gives me better gas mileage?
4th gear RPM's are exactly 2000 rpms at 69-70mph and my 5th gear RPM's
are exactly 2500 rpm's at 69-70 mph, which gives me better gas mileage?

Re: question re: Gas Mileage,4th and 5th gear
Your 5th gear RPM's will be lower than 4th gear at the same speed.

Re: question re: Gas Mileage,4th and 5th gear
You're dyslexic. How much you have to press the accelerator pedal
down to maintain the speed will give you a big clue. But if you want to
brag about mileage you're going to have to keep it down to about fifty
five, were wind resistance doesn't play a roll.
