ProComp Tires on Stock XJ
After four years of reading "what are the largest set of tires I can put on
a Stock XJ" messages and reading about ProComp tires vs. others, I can post
some personal experience.
2000 XJ Sport w/ UpCountry lift. Stock tires were the 225/75-15 Goodyears.
Replaced after 45,000 miles. Took a chance on the ProComp A/Ts 30x9.5-15's.
There is, as predicted, minor rubbing at full-lock. At worst, annoying,
during daily driving activities. The tires saw a nice snow storm yesterday
and performed very well. Put me in the "fan camp" of the ProComp A/Ts.
I know it's only a half inch of difference, but they do look larger
("better") in the wheel wells than the Goodyears did.

The same for the 30X9.5-15's BFG All Terrain KO's I put on a few years
ago... only on the driver's side though. I put a washer on the steering
stops and it has been no problem ever since...

Re: ProComp Tires on Stock XJ
So you went to a 30" with out a lift kit?
I think my TJ cam with 30" stock...
I'm now to this so please help me out?
Did these fit on your stock wheels?
What would it take to eliminate the rubbing?
Thanks Jim
