Paint hard top -- CJ
need to paint the hard top, both in and out.
I have seen several posts, but never read them, I will do a Google before I
buy paint, , ,
But any of you have a suggestion, what kind of paint and style of application?
I assume an oil base sprayed or applied with a sponge or glove.
But maybe a cheap rattle can more frequently would do the trick.

I hadda dark metalic green '77 cj-7 304 with an off white hard top. I went
to a sherwin-williams paint store that specialized in auto paint. I picked
a similar green, but not quite the same, and told the clerk I was gonna
brush it on a rough textured hardtop. I settled on a semi-gloss laquer. it
took 2 or more coats, looked great, held up for years....I wuz vedddy happy
with results. you gotta really clean the hard top veddy well, and not
leave any soap or other residue. try it......

FINALLY A POST FROM JOHN THAT DOES NOT SLAM DC
This is historic! John has NEVER made a post that did not slam the engineers
at DC in favor of the engineers from the defunct American Motors Corp.
