since response was so great on the 12v relay question, i figured id throw
out one more. im looking for recommendations on 3"-4" round 50-60 watt off
road lights.

You might research what your charging system is good for, if you're
talking about your glorified motorcycle.

Best bang for the buck! I put a set of Hella 500 driving lights on my
wifes TJ last year and they are great!

wifes TJ last year and they are great!

So long as your wife doesn't use them as fog lights with low beams on
the street. She must do a lot of night time off roading. Ever ask her
why? :)
Driving lights are wired up with high beams if you decide to become legal
on the street with them. Fog lights are wired up with the low beams.
I have the Hella 500 clear fogs on my Sahara where the stock fogs used
to be.
