2005 4x4 Superdutys (F250-350) switched to the coil spring/3-link
configuration. Excursions remained leaf sprung in front for 2005. Pre-2005
4x4 Superdutys have leaf springs up front. All 2wd Superdutys had twin-I
beam front suspension with coils and radius arms.

Open front diff, stock tires, long wheelbase on tight trails, driver ability
all had a factor. I don't think I would bring my Excursion on trails like
that until I at least get some bigger tires and an LS in the front.
