Metering rod in carb???
I was reading an article on a web page that mentioned the carb's metering
rod can be adjusted differently to accommendate high altitude operation.
I'm planning to rebuild my Carter 1BBl because it needs a new needle and
seat after the new (never had before) fuel/vapor return line was installed
to the tank. Anyone ever heard of this?

Thanks Always !!!

Hi Paul,
You have to buy a whole set of metering rods from Carter and be a
jobber. Do you know if it was originally sold in your mile high state?
If not you might be a tad on the rich side for sea level, I wouldn't
worry about it, just put in a kit and make sure the tubes at number 51
are clear: http://www.carburetorfactory.com/expvw03.html
