Jeep Wrangler tailgate glass
I just aquired a free OE hardtop for my '02 TJ but it needs a rear
window. I priced new glass and they want between $400 and $800! Does
anybody have some ideas to where I can find some used glass? I live in
Michigan, between Detroit and Flint. I would really appreciate your
advice.
Thanks in advance,
Dennis
P.S. Brian, if you read this, THANKS for the hard-top!!

Re: Jeep Wrangler tailgate glass
I have seen several folks use Plexiglas or lexan for the replacement.
Industrial supply shops sell it and will cut it close to size for you.
A jigsaw trims it nice.

Good luck. I lost the rear glass out of my hardtop once and if my
insurance hadn't covered it, I would have gotten hosed. Basically you
can BUY a used hardtop for the same or less than the cost of replacing
the glass.

Brian:
Did you price out that glass at a dealer, glass shop, or body shop.
Check with local auto glass shops. Local body shops may be even less
expensive.
