How long to wait before rebuilding a strait 6 on a 94?
Just a quick question to all...i am considering buying a used YJ (I think
....its a 94). Anyways the car has 150K miles on it and i was wondering how
long the engines generally last on YJs before they need a rebuild. It has
the strait 6. Thanks for the info.

If you have changed the oil constantly, by about thirty five
hundred miles, then you've got another reliable hundred and fifty
thousands to go.

I agree. I bought mine and oil was changed every 3K and the clock is
at 190800 miles. I am now using Mobil1 synth and no leaking. The seals
are good because of the frequent oil changes from the PO.

Re: How long to wait before rebuilding a strait 6 on a 94?
I just turned 238,000 miles on my 91YJ. I've changed oil every 3000 miles
since new. Still runs incredibly strong.
