Cool! I've got one of those flatter trays, but yours would contain stuff
so much better. The lockable top idea is also good. Nice, clean work!

Do you TIG up aluminum as well? That in an Alu. version would be pretty
light!

Do you TIG up aluminum as well? That in an Alu. version would be pretty
light!

i can tig aluminum, but migging it would be faster. yeah, it would sure
make for a lighter setup.

i can tig aluminum, but migging it would be faster. yeah, it would sure

Nice! I like the idea of a locking lid, too. How about a split lid with
each half hinged on the side of the box and locking in the middle. That way
you could flip one or both over the side and clip it in the open position or
close them and lock them closed. That way, they won't fall on you head when
you bump the box. (did I describe that in a way that makes sense?)

I'd keep the steel keel, though. I don't think an aluminum keel would hold
up under the stresses of driving.
