Help w/check engine light. How to 'tap-out' code on 95 Cherokee straight six
Hello,
I get a 'check engine light' after ~ 30 minutes of driving. It will reset
if I remove the battery cable. Once reset, it comes on ~ 30 minutes.
Is there a way to 'tap-out' which code is in error? I remember on an old
'85 El Camino I was able to short two leads on the test jack and count the
blinks.
Any ideas? Please help! Thanks.
Best regards,
RG

Yes we had to short the test connection to read the code like:
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/B...414/codes.html Your wagon
can be read by: Shut your engine off if it is running. Turn the
ignition key to the on and off positions (do not turn the key to the
start position) within 5 seconds using this sequence: ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON:

Let us know what fault code you get.
