Good use for scrap metal
They had a pile of "to be thrown away" metal where I work. They had
some brackets that are used to rack mount network equipment that was
made of some pretty substantial steel. I have two holes in the tub on
my CJ, so I measured them and...

Now I have patches for the holes that I can weld in. Check out how
thick they are:

After I get them welded in I'm going to scuff up the entire inside of
the tub, then wipe it down with acetone, then apply two layers of
"Herculiner" the whole shootin' match. I'll take pictures of the
progress. I plan on doing this Saturday.

I just realized that picture might not be that helpful since there's
nothing else in the picture to compare it to. I just checked and the
patch plates are just a hair thicker than a nickel. That should be
way more than enough.

Man, what is it with the carpet? hahaha!
Every time I take a picture of something laying on my carpet, people
comment on how nice the carpet is. I'm not sure if it's a joke or not
anymore. :-)
Here, for your viewing enjoyment, another shot of the carpet with
different lighting. Oooh! Ahhh! ;-)
