EVS-II Alarm / 2000 Grand Cherokee
Hi folks - I'm installing an EVS-II "Security Plus" system in my
vehicle, which already has keyless entry.
("EVS-II Security Plus" Mopar P/N: 82204268 + harness Mopar P/N:
82204685)
While the unit appears to be arming, disarming and triggering properly
(based on the relay clicking noises inside the EVS-II module), I don't
see any parking light flashing. There also doesn't seem to be any
hookup on the EVS-II harness for parking lights. Per the instruction
manual, I've wired up:
- lock/unlock motor in driver door (arm/disarm the system?)
- unlock sense in passenger door (???)
- courtesy light under the dash (trigger the alarm?)
- 3-wires off the ignition harness (looks like starter kill)
Anyone out there know if this system is capable of providing parking
light flash / horn honk with the Grand Cherokee when triggered?
Thanks in advance.

Stock it flashes twice for off, horn chirps once for on. It's
supposed to be programmable so you may made it sound like a Japanese
thing.

How about when you actually "break in"? Do the lights flash and horn
honk on your Jeep?
Thanks for the reply.

Re: EVS-II Alarm / 2000 Grand Cherokee
I believe a Grand Cherokee is set up like my Fords, the intruder to
hear the ear piercing sound of a Remington 44 magnum, warning, next one
will be silent as he won't hear the horn for three minutes, nor see
lights for a total of fifteen.
