Difference between a "service bulletin" and a true recall...
I went to www.alldata.com to see if there was any information on a recall
for the a/c evaporator in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. It listed several service
bulletins, including one for an a/c leak and one for an "Evaporative
System - Leak & DTC Diagnostics" but no recall info. Would this qualify as a
recall or does service bulletin mean they are informing you to bring it in
and pay for the service?

A TSB tells the dealership and mechanic how to best deal with the issue.
They are under no obligation to perform the service for free, unless you
are covered by warranty.
