Re: cutting diamond plating
Use a jigsaw with a good heavy duty cutting blade or use a reciprocating saw.
Then take a file to smooth the edges up.

My 'glass tub came with 1/8" diamond plate sandwiched in the firewall
for structure. I used my dremil tool with a fiberglass reinforced cut
off wheel to make all the holes.
It worked great. Not real fast, but accurate and nice cuts.

for structure. I used my dremil tool with a fiberglass reinforced cut
off wheel to make all the holes.
It worked great. Not real fast, but accurate and nice cuts.

Similar cutoff disks are available for drills, which tend to be
a bit faster than a Dremel for bulk cutting.

of brace.
