Canadians are well aware of the observation of 11-11-11-11.

(Eleventh day of the 11th month @ 11 minutes past the 11th hour)

Surveys show that most Americans think we observe Veteran's Day, which we
do not. Our's is somewhat different.

A good friend lost his father /today/ -- one week before -- and another on
Wednesday.

After a grueling week of medical tests, I will be away from either the 8th
or 9th until the 12th or 13th; most likely my computer and/or monitor will
be in the shop during my absence. In any case I will not be able to post
at the proper time.

I trust this will explain why this is being posted today.

All will be OK I'm sure, it's a yearly routine to keep me where I am,
rather than get worse. It's mostly something I have to endure; there are a
lot of things that are much more pleasant to do.

The one I really don't like is the complete 2-hour-plus physical, aka
"Rubber Glove Day".......
