Calm down. It's usenet. Group name means nothing anymore. It use to
back in the early to late 90's... but when the masses got access, it all
went to hell.
If you get a newsreader that has kill-file capability, you can quickly
weed out the majority of the crap you're talking about by putting in one
or two names.
I suggest XanaNews. It works pretty well for me. You can kill a thread
or a poster.

He can't kill-file, he's using Google Groups and thereby classifying
himself as one to be killfiled, at least by me*. See signature.

I like Xnews but heck, even Outlook Express will killfile a poster or a
thread.

Unfortunately it is caused by one former group member who seems to have
literally gone insane.
He no longer respects this group's Charter or it's members.
He is on a Don Quixote crusade to rid Usenet of people that don't use
their real name to post and the hell with anyone who gets in the way.
Too bad too, he was a valuable member here at one time. It's a bitch to
see someone get old and go senile right in front of you.

Had a similar problem in the Dodge Truck ng. One old timer (also a
valuable member) found Jesus and went on a crusade to save everyone's
soul. He's gone now. I don't know if he died or lost interest and
frankly don't care which.
