Will,
Couldn't be worse than a crow down an intake. Not a pretty sight, especially
if you have to crawl in there and clean bird guts off the rotors. Most times
we just dropped the engine, sent it to Field maint. and upped a new one.

I had some kind of small bird dive through my rotor disk once. It's amazing
how much rotor vibration you can get from just one or two little bird bones
embedded in the leading edge! Fortunately, I was in low hover.

We got Moose on our license plates and the State police pass out
"Brake for Moose! It May Save Your Life! Bumper stickers here in NH.
My wife drives a 911 ambulance and anything from Deer to Bear to Moose
can (and does) kill you. Even the big rig truckers respect a moose.
Damn stupid animals. At least a squirrel "thinks" he's getting out of
the way when he turns around and runs back under your car!
