Anyone in the Ontario Canada area up for a New Years bush run?
I am heading out tomorrow, Jan 1 2004 for 4 or 5 days south of the
Bancroft area north of Kingston Ontario.
Short notice, sorry but I just got the ok last night to go.
I will be running logging/snowmobile trails that are dual/multi use and
have permission to stay in a few hunt camps in the area.
The trails are suited for any stock or better 4x4 and there is excellent
ice fishing or winter fishing anyway.
Running on 'winter' logging skidder roads can be fun. Those suckers
have 6' tall tires and can make 'interesting' trails. LOL!
For those that have been along before, I am heading for the Whitefish
lake area where we summer camp. The loggers are working that end of the
trail this year. I plan on being within a 2 mile radius of that lake in
one of the camps.
If anyone is interested in coming in for the weekend or even meeting up
with me tomorrow email me and let me know. I have GPS tags for the lake
and could easily come out Friday night to meet up with folks at the
trail head.

Re: Anyone in the Ontario Canada area up for a New Years bush run?
Does anybody on this list have any co-ordinates, waypoints, GPS tracks,
whatever for the area Mike Romain is in at the moment? There's a few of us
here in Kingston Ontario who are wanting to hit the bush tomorrow and I'm
thinking it'd be nice to look him up if we can. I've been in the area with
Mike once before - my first off-road trip ever a couple of years ago, but
that was without a GPS or topo maps.

whatever for the area Mike Romain is in at the moment? There's a few of us
here in Kingston Ontario who are wanting to hit the bush tomorrow and I'm
thinking it'd be nice to look him up if we can. I've been in the area with
Mike once before - my first off-road trip ever a couple of years ago, but
that was without a GPS or topo maps.
