its cool that everything turned out O.K.
we must try to remember this - think twice before chasing someone like this.
who knows if they have a gun or not...
i know we all have guns, it could get ugly real fast.

It is usually a felony to shoot a crook who is stealing your stuff. If
he threatened you, that's another matter entirely. If you blow someone
away who is messing with your vehicle, YOU are the one who who will be
in deep ----. You will be thrown in jail and face manslaughter
charges.

The only time you may legally shoot a crimainal in the USA is when
your (or another's) life is in danger and you have nowhere to run.

If you own a firearm it's critical that you understand this legal
point.
