98' Cherokee interior lights stay on
Last night my interior lights decided they won't go out. I ended up
removing the dome light and the rear light just so I could drive. I
take the fuse out when I park to keep the floor lights off but need to
put it back to drive so I have power to my instrument panel. Any
ideas what needs to be done?
TIA

On some cars the headlight switch also turns down the dash lights
and turns on the dome light.

Re: 98' Cherokee interior lights stay on
Hi Dave,
Fords have always used the light switch to operate the dome light,
where GM would used a remote switch on the door jam or the light it's
self, at least through the fifties. Making it easy to spot a new Ford
driver, driving around with the inside light on, or the bed light on a
pickup.

Stick in a switch between the ground line that turns the light on
and the reed switch in the latch.
