Might check the Stealership to see if they'll give you a new one:

reverse lock outs, it'll take some soldering.

Re: 94 Cherokee Shift Handle
Dunno how replaceable the spring is but the "T" handle just pulls straight
up and off. There's a wire ring and groove or somesuch under there to
hold it on. Reverse instructions to reassemble.

Dunno how replaceable the spring is but the "T" handle just pulls straight
up and off. There's a wire ring and groove or somesuch under there to
hold it on. Reverse instructions to reassemble.
