I use a sacrificial bolt on them.

I take out the 3 bolts, then turn the tire hard and put the extra bolt
in the rear hole and hit it really good with a big hammer.

I have also used a chisel on the ears.

Explain how a cold chisel will split it? The listed site shows
the hub just falling out in his hand. That wasn't how it worked
on mine! (land of 10,000 lakes and 20,000 plow trucks with salt
in the back) If you think you can get a standard cold chisel
inbetween the knuckle and the hub, you will do a LOT of damage
before the thing will start moving.

Hi Roy,
Actually I use a paint scrapper and it works very well, if you aim
it right, as if you were about to split a diamond, you may be able to

Actually I use a paint scrapper and it works very well, if you aim
it right, as if you were about to split a diamond, you may be able to
