2001 grand cherokee laredo funny trans shifting
We have a 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo.
Just last week, something has changed with the trans
and stopping/starting. It appears that from a dead stop,
that the trans does not start in 1st, but rather 2nd - I think.
Not all the time, but sometimes. Things are just wrong at low end,
as coming to the stop, or even sitting at the stop & starting...
It does not have the torque off the line, but rather slow & smooth,
like starting in 2nd with a manual trans....
Any ideas on what could be wrong, broke, whatever ??
Also - should I take it to the dealer, or a third party shop...

could be it just needs a siple throttle valve adjustment or even a
relearn of the pressure thresholds something a dealer would know about
were a shop tells ya you need a new trans and remember if a midas shop
tells u yo need calipers you want to inpect them on the car to see how
frozen there are before there are replaced
