2012 Liberty remote start blower failure, sometimes
So I have a 3 month old 2012 Liberty 4x4 and it has recently started acting stupid "sometimes" when I remote start it. The heater blower will fail to start running (always left in the middle speed setting, middle temp and high low vent setting), but as soon as I insert the key and turn ignition on, the blower will go to the correct setting and operation. Always works correctly when the key is inserted and started that way, but is 50/50 chance of failure when using remote start. Does not matter if I have the settings different, same issue. Dose not seem to matter the outside temperature. Not a real big problem at this time but kind of sucks when the outside is -20 and the engine is nice and toasty but the cabin is still freezing. Wondering if anybody else has had this issue? Service today was a joke as the "tech" obviously didn't read the advisers notes and reported that this is normal operation and the heater would not start to blow hot air until the engine had warmed up. I guess he didn't read the part about this being a blower issue and not a heat issue.

Very common for todays vehicles not to run the blower motor until engine reaches a certain temp. Been that way with ATC set in the auto mode for years. I think that is what the tech was getting at. Yours works fine with the key vs the auto start though. Sounds like a software issue to me. The 2012 model year has a ton of changes across most of Chrysler products. Software updates are never ending. Next time your in ask the service writer if they can check for software updates for your issue and/or service bulletins.
