Re: What Type Of Fuel Do You Use?
That's really weird.. we gotta get together and compare. I have the 3.73 Gears maybe that makes the big difference I don't know, was a 95$ option I heard it's a really good option when looking into bigger tires so i got it.

Re: What Type Of Fuel Do You Use?
Well like I said we gotta compair, I am running the 3.73 gearing. But i heard it's pretty expensive to change the ratio for the rear, the physical gear itself isn't expensive but the labor is there sorta thing. I wanted the 4.11 gear but it was only available for the rubicon unfortunately.
Like i did say, if your planning to get larger tires your better off changing the gear anyway because it will slow you down even more when you get your bigger tires on.

If your are running a bigger tire with 3.21 on a 4dr! come on of course you're not going to be happy with the performance it is not set up for performance it's set up for fuel economy. That's like putting dirt bike wheels on a tour de France bicycle.
If you keep stock tires and switched gears it will come alive, to move up to 3.73 gears will cost big bucks though. Not just because of the gears and time but because the 3.21 carrier is different than the 3.73s carrier. So it would have to be changed to accommodate the new gears and that part is expansive. Of course you can get a TJ frt carrier from Yukon gears and have the work done somewhere other than a dealership. Going that route would most likely save money but put your power-train warranty in jeopardy. I don't recommend the latter, of course I'm biased being a dealer tech and specialing in 4wd systems
FYI
My brother's JK 2dr sport 6sp man with 3.73 is running 35's Duratrac and he has no issues with power.

Re: What Type Of Fuel Do You Use?
Lets be clear though, I did not write that you could run 35" and tow a something heavy.
