Just got home from dropping of the 2011 Sahara and picking up my new 2015 Rubi. In the nick of time too, the blizzard is moving in fast!
If I can find the garage door tomorrow the first of the mods begin! Woo Hooo.

what type of mods are you planning on doing? Possible new wheels and tire? If so i would love to take those stock rubi's off your hands.

btw nice trade you did there and congrats.

Kinda sitting on the fence with what to do with the Rubi wheels and tires. I've already purchased new DuraTracs (285/75-17) and have the custom rims picked out (Ultra Mongoose's), but the Cdn dollar tanked before I got them ordered. As they wouldn't have been installed until spring, I'm going to watch the exchange rate and hope for a rise. My luck it will likely tank even further. The area I live in we tend to get more ice than deep snow and I've heard nothing but bad reviews about the Mud-Terrain tires (the Rubi's come with) because the lugs are not sipped like they are on DuraTracs, which makes the Bridgestone AT's (the Sahara's come with) a better option as winter tires. The dealership only wanted the custom rims and DuraTracs so I got to keep the stock 18" Sahara rims and tires which I would have normally installed for the winter. If the MT's turn out to be as bad as they say, I can do a swap, provided I don't mind listening to the TMPS go off every startup, as the frequency they operate on was changed between 2011 and 2015. Plan B is to cross the border and go to Discount Tire and for $10 per tire, they'll "sip" the MT's lugs making them winter "pro-rated".
I'll keep you in mind though. You after only the rims or rims and tires?

Grats on the new Rubicon! BTW are they the same color? I thought the yellow was new for this year like the tank.

Jeep is calling the new colour Baja Yellow, but as you can see it appears to be almost identical to the earlier Detonator yellow. I hung onto my half doors, so come summer, the true comparison will be made with their installation!
Chrysler is listing Baja yellow paint under a different code from Detonator one.

Weather broke enough Friday to throw open the garage doors and dig out the boxes of parts.
Baby's new shoes are in and mounted but waiting 'til the salt's gone to install them. Did a test fit with the front rims just to check for clearance issues. Everything looks okay dokay, no rubbing. 285/70 X 17 DuraTracs on 17 X 9 Ultra Mongoose rims.

Rounded up buddy for what I thought was going to be a couple of hours of installation work, bolting up my new Smittybult XRC Modular Bumper. Was that prediction WAY off and we didn't even stop for beer breaks, (perhaps THAT was the problem)!!!
Five and a half hours of, sometime VERY frustrating fitment problems, (one bolt took 3/4 of an hour and required jacking the entire front end to get it to thread), she's installed. The bumper that is, winch is still not wired, fog lighting harness needs to be extend and still have to find a way to mount the license plate.

Couldn't wait any longer, used the good weather to install baby's new shoes! Finished installing seat covers and swapped out Rock rails for Sahara running boards. Then depression set in! All the parts are installed, there's nothing left to put on. Gotta go find those parts catalogues!!!!

Wow looks good.

I like it...there is one thing you can put that you don't have to spend money on......soft top (unless you don't have one).
