Last 3.8L made in USA comes off Line
Saw this, pretty intresting read on the history, and no more 3.8L from USA.

I hope the Pentastar 3.6L is as good as the 3.8L. The 3.8 is one tough motor and does a good job considering a stock Unlimited weighs 4,600lbs.
All this hype about the 3.6. Those that have driven the cars and Grand Cherokee with the 3.6 are not impressed.
I very much doubt that the flying brick with the 3.6 will get any better mileage.

All I know is that we couldn't wait for the 2012, new engine...try and tested only a yr in the other chrysler vehicles but not the wrangler..will be interesting to see how it all comes about.
But for now, I couldn't be happier. We picked up a 4dr unlimited Anniversary edition wrangler this week and let me tell you the smile just won't go away. Very happy.
As for mileage, I am averaging 10.5 on highways and 11.8- 12.5 city, not bad at all. Drove the ford escape before and was averaging 11 -12 overall.
The way I see it now...is I am here only once, so I will live driving the vehicle I always wanted.
Cheers to all Jeepers!
