JK floor mats, rear cargo protector mats and HOOD locks...
OK...I was at 'Just Jeeps' here in Toronto, and looking at the various floor mat options...The salesguy showed me the Rugged Ridge ones...and how the material is more like REAL RUBBER than the 'Husky' ones that I was GOING to get...
Now, I have to think about it...
Anybody had experience with the Rugged Ridge ones? They seem to be REALLY good quality rubber...nice and flexible, unlike the Husky ones, which seemed more like plastic...
I don't think that the factory 'mats' are much use to anyone...I
Also...anybody got a HOOD LOCK on their JK? The Mopar one is big bugs...(keyed to the ignition key) and the cheepie Rugged Ridge one is apparently not very useful...just clips on...

had the mopar mats and they wore out.
Bought the rugged ridge ones to replace them. love them. stand up to a lot of abuse and work really well.
buy them, you won't be disappointed

OK...it will be Rugged Ridge for the mats...
As for the hood lock, I've had people tell me that it's NOT necessary...but, I can't remember having a car with NO hood lock...to WAY back in the early 80's...Funny that they didn't put a cable release in...but, I guess with an open top or convertible Jeep, that wouldn't accomplish much...Mine is a hardtop, though.
It shouldn't be THAT hard to secure the hood, though...I can see modifying a 'cam-style' lock to catch a hook on the hood...
I am, however, going to put a locking gas cap on immediately...The idea of some idiot putting something in my fuel...for a laugh...and destroying that expensive PentaStar engine?...arghhhhhh

Got the Mopar hood lock and put it in myself. Paid $180
Don't bother with the rivets. I just bought some bolts and put it in. Took some fiddling to get the nut on but it's possible. Put some blue lok-tite so they don't rattle loose. I didn't but they're still tight and I sleep better with a hood lock.
