How do you like your MOPAR Add-A Trunk?
Hi,
I'm planning on ordering a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. I'm wondering if anyone has the MOPAR Add-A trunk and what your thoughts were on it.
As I understand it - you cannot install the Add-A Trunk if you have the subwoofer - so this will help me decide on my sound system as well.
I've never owned a jeep - but I can't imagine not having some sort of trunk during the summer when I will be in soft top (or no top) mode. I know there is a storage bin under the rear floor - but it's a pretty small space.
Your thoughts on this matter are greatly appreciated.

Great choice on the JK Unlimited, oh so many nice colors to choose from.
Security is an issue agreed, few thoughts here:
- Plan your trip were and what you plan on buying (that day) and leaving in the Jeep unattended.
-The small storage bin is pretty secure, the tail gate over laps it in such a way you cant open it unless then gate is open.
-Check with National 4WD or Quadratec.com for security bins/trays that can slide under the rear seat...I've seen these for the TJ's...pretty sure they have them for the JK. Dont loose space and keep the sub.
-Order you JK with the Sub!!! For a stock audio system, it has a great punch!
-Watch were you park.
-Finally don't leave anything of value in the Jeep (that includes the ownership and insurance, AND that little remote that opens the gagrage door)
Touch wood never had an issue.
Good luck, you have the right idea with the soft top....I see way too many rockn' the hard top when the weather is nice.
Top down doors off!

I bought a tuffy underseat drawer from northridge4x4.ca it fits under your drivers seat and actually can fit quite a bit in it. I have heard that the add a trunk are great at first but become more of a pain later on when planning long trips and such. It cuts your storage space up.

Thanks Jenna,
Appreciate the feedback. That is exactly what I'm worried about with the Add-A trunk. Is the tuffy underseat secure? Or does it depend on "stealth" for its security?

It is pretty secure. I actually just fits in under the drivers seat mounting bolts and those are pretty tight so unless someone is bringing air tools with them to break into vehicles they aren't getting into it. They locks are supposed to be amazing. Its small but fits my gps, ipod, phone, wallet, keys and still has room for a lot more. Its handy for the doorless/ topless days. Check it out online. A lot of guys on jk-forum have it and love it, there is a write up on the installation there too and lots of pictures. Happy Jeeping!
