Wow , on an 08 it'd be a TON for work to do it properly !! I'd be more inclined to supercharge the 3.8 just because of the weight factor and some other things ( $$$ ).

Why do you say it's a ton of work? The kits you get to install them are not difficult to install
.( from what I've read) if you search on jk-forum there are a few guys that had super chargers and went to HEMI's. They said it's way better to go the hemi route.

Just check who is an AEV dealer in your area.

Hey ! The reason I think it's a lot of work is when I look at my brother's Hemi Challenger and think " I have to fit that, in there ?" Kit or no kit it'd be a lot of work but I guess that would depend on the definition of "work". I've looked at many conversion kits and they all say it's "simple" . I didn't think they would ever say " it's a pain " :)

Best shop for that that I know of Burnsville offroad they were the first and prob the best to do the conversion but they are in the US. Check on some of the bigger Jeep forums and ask there. The conversion kit is around $5G USD if you already have the donor motor, transmission and transfer case. So you are prob looking at around $10G for this conversion.
From what I have seen it is a lengthy process where the front clip comes completely off and some welding is required for the new engine mounts.

The SuperCharger mod is about $4G..

From what I have read this is something that can be done in a weekend wtb a couple friends. There are a bunch of guys on jk-forum that have done it. It requires little to no modification. You can either pull the front clip off or remove the body like Aev does.
All in all it is said to run around 10,000-15,000. But some have done it cheaper. The motor is the easy part to find its all the little **** that adds up.

As for the super charger they run around 4500-5000usd. You get close to the same hp as a hemi but you have to be revving higher to get it. Most guys that have seiches to the hemi from a super charger say they prefure the hemi since the power is always there.

if you are interested in a hemi conversion call 952-890-3990 and talk to DAN. he owns the shop .they will convert a 5.7 hemi @22,000.00--405hp. all the way up to a 7.2 viper motor. everything looks factory stock! there is lots of info at www.burnsville.com. they supply everything and you keep your stock parts. they are in burnsville u.s.a. which is roughly 1-2 hours south of minneapolis. not to far from where you live

Have you talked to the guys at MBRP? Their shop is located in cottage country (Huntsville, Ont). I know they did Hemi swaps on both of their JKs, I'm just not sure if they did it themselves or hired it out. It can't hurt to give em a call. I met a few of the guys at JK-Jam this summer in Trenton. Awesome guys, Amazing Jeeps! 1-888-636-7223. Hope this helps!
