Half door plan - Bad plan

Half door plan - Bad plan
Some days your the windshield, some days your the bug.
Today was a bug day.
Hung on to the powered half doors I built for the 2011 Detonator Yellow Sahara, that I traded in for a new Baja Yellow Rubi.
Jeep changed the body to door plug (a couple of times) between 2011 and 2015, so I had to order up new harnesses for both the doors with the understanding the internals were "plug and play". NOT SO GRASSHOPPER!!!!
After the recall about possible fires in the doors from the heated mirrors, Jeep apparently opted to separate the heated function from the power adjustment, there are now 2 plugs for the mirror. Guess who's still got the single socket mirrors?
From there it just got worse. After nabbing the neighbor's kid off his skateboard to give me a hand removing the full doors and installing the half doors, I learn Detonator Yellow is no where close to Baja Yellow!!!! (attachment really does show it as bad as it really is).
Don't go for popcorn just yet folks the best part is yet to come. I install the canvass uppers, black canvass BUT not the SAME black canvass as 2015!!!!
Bug, windshield = SPLAT.
So after almost a year of work, ordering, shipping, cutting, drilling and installing, disassembling for paint, reassembling and installing on the jeep, I'm pretty much back at square one.
Anyone interested in a set of powered half doors in Detonator yellow?
If so see the guy at the end of the bar muttering into his Rum and Coke!!!!
Bottombanana.

Re: Half door plan - Bad plan
Has anybody opened up a powered full door and seen if the mirrors now have two plugs or is there an added
adapter that splits the old single into two?
Be curious to know what my options are.

Re: Half door plan - Bad plan
Just a quick update, Quadratec's new catalogue is now showing mirrors for '14-16's so there
are now available dual plug mirrors. Hopefully the Cdn dollar will make some kind of recovery between now and spring so I can afford to purchase a set!
