Default another newbie question

tried to google but does not show, I am trying to find out if my 430n unit will play a dvd .. I understand the vehicle has to be stopped but when I stuck a dvd in it only plays sound and no video.. does not give me the option to view screen.... was under the impression that it does...

I don't have the 430n but wondering if it's a burnt DVD that's giving u the trouble if not maybe place the jeep in park with the handbrake on?? Just a thought..
I'm sure some audio guru will be along soon to help u out!

ahhh you know what now to think of it I didn't have the park brake on... but it was an original dvd... figured I would try one of those first before a burnt one... thanks

I know with some older audio players playing burn't discs was an issue because the edge of the disc was to "sharp" from the disc cutting process. Not sure if it still effects some players now, but in older vehicle manuals they said if your using a recordable disc to run the side of a pencil around the outside to round off the edges.

Just a thought.

ok so like an idiot I forgot to put the e-brake on......that was it.... sorry all, but I couldn't find anything in the manual on how to make it work

yes u need parking brake engaged in order to see video.
