2013 Ram Pick-Up Throttle Body in a 2013 JK?
305hp versus 285? What all would be involved? Electronics-Intake-Internals? What could be the end result?
Ram
305 hp@6500
269 torque@4175
Jeep
285 hp@6400
260 torque@4800
How do they get more torque at lower rpm 269@4175 on Ram? Tuning Only?

That's only around a 3 percent difference so it's probably just tuning but look at the rpm's. how often do you see your tach needle at 6500? if your answer is often I'm glad I'm not paying your gas bill.

John Henry,
Yes, most of this has to do with tuning and the main purpose of the vehicle. Ram truck vs. JK.
The same can be said about the 3.6L in most of our vehicles, Caravan/T&C, Journey, Avenger/200, 300/Charger/Challenger.
Based on the application the engine/trans are tuned in sync with what we believe is most important for our customers.
I'm not saying it can't be done to swap it all, however it isn't as simple as swapping a few parts plus now you have warranty implications too.

First, is the RAM throttle body off a 3.6L. If not, don't bother. There my be electronic implications. Alot of the differences in these motors is internal. Nothing outside will make any difference.
For instance, the 2008 Viper V10 throttle body is plug and play on the 3.8L. It makes a small difference in throttle response but 0 power increase. Why you ask, when you put a 72mm throttle body in place of a 58mm throttle body? Its simple really, its called computer control and unless you have a custom tune and matching injectors you'll get no increase. The computer monitors how much fuel goes into the motor through the injectors adding more air through the TB doesn't increase the fuel. The computer controls the throttle body and will only open it enough for the air thats required. Gone are the days when you could just throw a bigger carb on and get 40 extra HP.
